The Scripture

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, revealed, complete, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

(Psalm 12:6-7, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:23, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Revelation 22:18-19)

The Godhead (The Trinity)

We believe that the Eternal God exists in three distinct Persons—God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit, which we recognize as the Trinity. They are co-equal in nature and attributes and yet have distinct characteristics and roles. Calling Him by His revealed name, Yahweh, we believe that He is the only true God.

(Exodus 3:15, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 3:16–17, 28:19, John 4:24, 10:30, Ephesians 2:18, 1 John 5:7-12)

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is the all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present, unchanging Sovereign Lord over all created things in the visible (tangible, physical) and invisible (intangible, spiritual) realms. God is perfectly holy, and perfectly just, having absolute majesty, dominion and authority over all time both now and forever. He is supreme in compassion, love, grace, mercy, patience and faithfulness. As the Supreme law-giver, all of mankind will stand before Him in judgment. God will save all who come to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ from being eternally separated from God in Hell.

(Genesis 1:1, Exodus 34:6-7, Deuteronomy 32:4, Psalm 145:8, Isaiah 40:28, 43:10-13, 46:9-10, John 3:16, Jude 25, Revelation 4:8)

God the Son, Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, as the only begotten Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in His vicarious and atoning death for all mankind through His shed blood. We believe in His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, as our Advocate with God the Father. We believe in His imminent return for His Bride, the Church, and in His personal physical return in power and glory to rule the world in righteousness.

(Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:1-5, 1:14, 20:28-29, Acts 1:11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-7, Galatians 4:4, Colossians 1:15-20, 2:9, 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 1:3, 1:8, 4:15, 1 John 2:1, 5:5)

God the Holy Spirit

We believe God the Holy Spirit was sent from God to glorify and reveal the person of Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit inspired the original Scripture in its entirety. The Holy Spirit not only brings conviction of sin, righteousness, and coming judgment, but also gives present guidance and comfort to every Believer, and intercedes in the lives of God’s children. The Holy Spirit indwell Believers at the moment of salvation, seals them unto the Day of Redemption, imparts spiritual gifts, and empowers them to live in obedience to God. It is the Holy Spirit who brings the Believer into union with Christ and with the Church at the moment of salvation.

(John 3:3-6, 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:8, 16:13, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30)

The Nature of Man

We believe that man was created by God and in the image of God, having been given dominion over all creation. However, because of Adam’s sin, all men are depraved sinners by nature, and thereby cannot stand before a Holy God. By that sin, mankind’s relationship with God was severed and he is utterly lost, ‘dead in trespasses and sins’, and man is utterly incapable of returning to a right relationship with God by his own efforts. As a result, the core human nature is in direct opposition to God and therefore is in rebellion as an enemy of God. Without Christ’s atoning sacrifice and the intervention of the Holy Spirit, man will remain in the state of rebellion and suffer the consequences of eternal separation from God. We believe that for the redemption of lost and sinful man, regeneration through the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

(Genesis 3:6-24, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:12, 8:5-9, Galatians 5:16-18, Ephesians 2:1-3, James 4:4)

Satan

We believe that Satan is the instigator of evil and a real spirit being, not simply the personification of evil. He is a fallen angel who, under the sovereign permission of God, has been given temporary rulership of the earth. He was utterly defeated at the cross, but the execution of his judgment has been postponed by God until after the Millennial Kingdom when he will be cast into the eternal lake of fire. In the meantime, he deceives the world and seeks to establish his counterfeit kingdom on earth to discredit and blaspheme God and to tempt, accuse, attack and destroy Believers. He can be resisted by the Believer through faith and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Genesis 3: 1-5, Job 1-2, Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28:11-19, 2 Corinthians 11:14, 1 Timothy 3:6, 1 Peter 5:8-9, 1 John 5:19, James 4:7, Revelation 12:9, 20:1-3, 7-10)

Salvation through Jesus Christ Alone

We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s grace through faith alone, in the blood of Jesus Christ shed for our sins on the cross. Salvation through the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is available to those who are convicted by the power of the Holy Spirit to repent, receive forgiveness of their sins, and accept the righteousness of Christ’s sacrifice on their behalf. There is no other name in heaven or on earth by which man can be saved. All true believers are eternally secure, kept by the power of God and will have eternal life in heaven, either upon physical death or physical ascension on the Day of Rapture. All who reject the merciful gift of salvation through Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Hell, forever separated from God.

(John 3:16, 10:27-29, Acts 4:12, Romans 6:23, 8:38-39, 10:9-13, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 1:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 2:2, Revelation 20:14, 21:10-27)

The Church and Christian Life

The Church is the Body and Bride of Christ. The Church of God consists of all true believers around the world, who are united in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is the Believer’s personal obligation to seek, grow and mature in the knowledge of Christ through private and corporate worship, Bible study, prayer and other spiritual disciplines. We believe that it is good and right to be actively involved in a local body of believers as commanded by Scripture. As a body, we are called to love, forgive, encourage, serve, comfort, exhort, and bear the burdens for one another. We believe that the Church has been called to live a life of righteousness, good works, blamelessness and faithfulness, and separated from the world and worldliness.

(Acts 1:8, 2:41, 2:47, 20:28, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 1:20-23, 3:14-15, 1 Timothy 3, Hebrews 10:25, 1 Peter 1:15-16)

The Ordinances

We believe that the only two ordinances of the church recognized by Scripture are water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Water baptism by immersion is an act of obedience following salvation which symbolically pictures the believer’s death to sin, burial of the old life, and resurrection to new life. The Lord’s Supper celebrates fellowship and communion with Christ, symbolically commemorates His death, and anticipates His second coming.

(Matthew 28: 19, Luke 22:19-20, Acts 10:47-48, Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 11:23-28)

The Rapture and Eternal Destiny of Man

We believe in the physical removal of the Church—Believers both dead and alive, from this world and its lost cause on the imminent Day of Rapture. We hold to the fact that no one, spirit or human, knows of the day of its occurrence, except God the Father. The Rapture will be the concluding act of deliverance as promised us by Jesus Christ, as we head over to His Judgment Seat to be rewarded for staying strong through our walk of faith. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

(John 3:16-18, 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15:12-58, 15:51-52, Philippians 3:20-21, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:1-10, Revelation 20:5)

The Great Commandment and The Great Commission

We believe in the Biblical mandate of the Great Commandment to love God and love people, and the Great Commission for all Believers to proclaim the Gospel and to disciple all nations. God chooses to work through His Church to spread His gospel and bring the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. This can only be accomplished through love and out of a compassionate heart.

(Matthew 28:19-20, 4:19-20, Mark 16:15, John 15:16, Acts 1:8, Romans 10:14-15, 2 Timothy 2:2; Matthew 5:43-48, 22:37-40, John 13:34-35, 15:12-13, Romans 13:8-10, 1 Peter 4:8, 1 John 4:7-8, 4:20)

Life, Marriage, and Sexuality

We believe in the sanctity of life and that each human being has a soul and spirit that will live beyond the human experience. Every human life was created by God at conception in order to thrive and bring Him glory regardless of the gender, circumstances surrounding conception, or any mental or physical prognosis or condition. Life is a gift from God and must be cherished, defended and protected from conception until natural death. We believe that the direct taking of an innocent human life for any reason is a moral evil, regardless of intention. Because we are created in God’s own image, we believe in caring for the unborn, the elderly, the needy, the handicapped, the homeless, the orphan and the widow without partiality.

God is the author and creator of marriage and sexuality. His Word declares the sacred union of one natural man and one natural woman in marriage is designed to be monogamous for a lifetime. The Bible clearly states that any other form of inordinate affection is sin. God has ordained marriage as a heterosexual relationship between a natural man and a natural woman. Therefore, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, polygamy, pedophilia, fornication, adultery, or any other sexual acts outside the bonds of marriage is considered sinful.

(Genesis 1-3, Psalm 139, Jeremiah 1:5, Matthew 5:31-32, 19:4-6, Mark 10:2-12, Romans 1:18-32, Ephesians 1:4; 5:22-23, 2 Peter 2)
