We are in a time where God is calling the Church back to a season and lifestyle marked by a spiritual reawakening - a Revival. This is not just for the Global Church but also for every institution that makes up the Church. God is calling us back to Himself in our families and marriages. A revival in our marriages and families.
Coupled For Life Ministry is answering the call to that revival by serving the global Church with practical resources, to have the following:
There is more to marriage than just a man and a woman being joined together in holy matrimony. Marriage is the first institution that God established. It starts the Bible (Adam and Eve) and ends it (Marriage Supper of the Lamb). The particular design and purpose of marriage shows us that it is a picture of great and eternal significance. Our earthly marriages (between man and wife) are a picture of Christ and the Church. The marriage leads to the forming the family that is then the foundation of society.
When we look at society, we see a reflection of our families. When we have revival in our families, we will see a positive change in our society and nation at large.
For this reason [grasping the greatness of this plan by which Jews and Gentiles are joined together in Christ] I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ], from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name [God—the first and ultimate Father]. Ephesians 3:14-15 (AMP)
Life on earth began with a marriage (Genesis 2: Adam and Eve) and will end with a marriage (Revelation 19: Christ and the Church). Every marriage in between, including yours, chastises and reminds us to follow Christ as we await His return.
As we walk on the earth, we should always remember that we are the Bride of Christ and He is coming soon. Our hearts should therefore be ready for His return.
There is a wedding waiting for you. You are the Bride. Are you ready for your Bridegroom?
Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
